I am researching the Nasmyths of Scotland. There are many variations on the spelling - Naesmyth, Nasmith, Naismith, Naysmith and fifty or more others.
If you have an interest and need or can offer help please post a response.

Hi John
...and a warm welcome to Talking Scot
I'm sure you will manage to find some folk here who have an interest in Naismiths (all spelling variations catered for!)
I have one in my tree: Alexander Naysmith b. abt 1890, father was Henry, mother was Annie White Orrock. Don't know much about him as he is quite distant in my tree, other than he married Lily Smith Dick ( my first cousin x3 removed) in Edinburgh in 1921.
Do you have any particular Naismiths you are interested in?
Best wishes
Lesley
