Thomson and Mossman families from Ratho, Midlothian.....

My grt g/parents (x3) were William Thomson and his wife Mary (nee Mossman) who were both born 1790's in Ratho although I don't know the exact dates. He was a tailor and they had 6 children that I know off. My grt/mother(x2) Helen being the youngest who was born in 1829. She married in Milton, Glasgow to Alexander Slimon in 1856 and went on to live her life in Glasgow until her death in 1914. Would appreciate any information on any members of this family.
Helen's siblings were Janet b. 1817,William b. 1819,Robert b. 1821, Elizabeth b. 1823, and George b. 1826. Thanks in advance.

I have a Mary Mossman in my tree b. abt 1794 in Bathgate, West Lothian. She married John Cunningham in 1812 in Uphall West Lothian. Any connection?

I couldn't say if this Mary Mossman was any relation, although distance from Ratho to Bathgate is not terribly far. My great g/mother x 3 is the only family member of the Mossman I know off, so I am keen to find her parents and any siblings etc. I have noticed during my search, although I don't have any evidence to link Mary to them, that there is Mossman families in Edinburgh at that time. So if you find any other information, please keep me in mind.
