Whats are the odds that I have found GGGGG Great Grandfather

Post by And It Makes Me Shine » Fri May 26, 2006 2:26 pm

One of my "brickwalls" have been my GGGG Great Grandfather William Ginn. He lived and died in Hamilton and was born in Ireland around 1800. I have discovered some more info IE his fathers name was robert Ginn and no details on the death Certificate about his mother :( . I have never found anything on Familysearch before but thought I would try anyway. I have found a Family group record showing a Robert Ginn who had many children including a William born in 1801 :D . What are the odds that this is the same one? And is there anyother way of checking this? I am looking for others opinions as I am so desperate for it to be him I know I am not objective about it. How do you get in touch with the person who submitted it?

There are two on LDS - Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File. Both seem to fit what your saying and both have a visable address so wouldnt hurt to write assuming they still live at that address :?
Scotland - Donaldson / Moggach / Shaw / Geddes / Sim / Gray / Mackie / Richards / Joel / Coull / Mckimmie / Panton / McGregor
Ireland and Scotland - Casey / McDade / Phillips / McCandle / Dinely / Comaskey + various spellings
