PICK/PECK/PIKE.....

Is anyone searching PICK from Midlothian? I have been in contact with someone who is and this is what we have so far.

We assume for now William Peck/Jane Kennoway marriage on 13.5.1811 is the correct family and they have had 4 children - George, b.1814 (France), Ann born abt 1822 (Portugal), Sally b abt.1824, Midlothian, Cameron b. abt. 1831 Midlothian (Dalkeith).

George – parents William Pick/Jean Kenniway (known fact from his death cert.)

Anne - mother Jean Pike (or Pick) –no death certificate

Sally – living with Jean Pick (1841 Census Cockpen)

Cameron – living with Jean Pick (1841 Census) – his parents on his death cert shown as Robert Park/Jane Kennoway. Cameron gives his name as Cameron Park Peck on Marriage Cert.

I have Anne Pick on 1841 Census Lasswade and as Anne Gilray/Gilroy on 1851 Census - Glencross. Cameron is in Penicuick in 1851

The queer thing is a surname search on SP says 7 PICKs in 1841 Census (found them) and 3 in 1851 Census but there seems to be 5 ?? 4 in Banff and Cameron.

We have the history of Anne, George and Cameron but want to find out about William and Jean/Jane. There seems to be a lot of possible variants as there is also PAICK,PEOCK,PIQUE, PYKE and PAKE

Thanks to all who viewed. We have got them all on the Census and have found death certificates but still no death for Sally. Still looking for any other children of William Pick or Robert Park and Jane Kennaway. Also anything about John Kennaway and his wife ? McIntosh.
Ann Pick was born abt 1812 Portugal not 1822
The family are from the Lasswade/Penicuick/ Glencross area and later the Canongate.
