Hello Ellen,

Perhaps you know this but Catherine died in Greenock in 1910 so I suppose she must be somewhere in the 1891 and 1901 census records but at least you should be able to find her parents names from the death entry and also see if one of the boys registered it.

Kind regards,
Annette M

Later........................Had a quick search of SP in 1891 - there is a Cath Smith of the correct age in Greenock. Have you looked at that one?

The parent's marriage in Greenock 1856 is also online.

This may be Annie, James' wife in 1881:

Dwelling: 44 E Hamilton St
Census Place: East Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland

James STONE M 45 M Glasgow, Lanark, Scotland

Dollia STONE M 42 F Tain, Ross and Cromarty, Scotland

Jessie STONE M 24 F Greenock

Mary STONE 13 F Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland

John J. STONE 6 M Greenock, Renfrew, Scotland
Rel: Son

She died in Greenock but I can't see a marriage UNDER STONE

However, this Annie, parents James and Dolena (Lena) Ross married John Brady in 1883.

Regardless of the mother's name on the Death Cert, I am 99.9% positive that this is the same annie Smith that died in 1933 at 13 West Blackhall Street Greenock.
