Cumming Family.....

Hello,

Can someone please help me sort my cumming family?I have hit the brick wall on this one.

I have John CUMMING B abt 1804 Fife He married Elizabeth FORBES nee BOWMAN 14th Jan 1828 in Largo Fife,

Elizabeth d 7th Feb 1840. John Cumming then m Sophia JOHNSTON 15th Jul 1850 in Largo.
JohnCUMMINGS d 14th Jan 1876 in Markinch Fife
Sophia JOHNSTON d 25th Oct 1866 in Markinch Fife

John CUMMING b 12th Dec 1828 Largo. eldest son of John and Eizabeth FORBES.

John apparently married but I can not find a marriage.

John d 3rd Aug 1876 found drowned at West Brae Crail he is down as widowed on death cert but no wife named.

He is widowed in the 1871 Census of Fife as well but is living on his own
occupation Fisherman.

I have not found him in the 1861 census.

Any suggestions please I have searched Scotlands People as well but may be missing something.

Would there have been an inquest and if so where would I search for it?

Have you tried under the spelling Cummins as well as Cumming and Cummings?

Hello Ann,

I have searched the cummings that was how I found the sons death cert. Usually they all come up when I do a general search for Cumming.
