My g g grandmother, Mary Ann Owens, was born in Armagh around 1862. She moved to Scotland aged 18 (or thereabouts), and married a seaman called Francis McDonald. Any info on him would be a step forward. He died before 1908, and Mary A McDonald(maiden name Owens) remarried to a railway platelayer called Michael Hughes. I think he died in 1911. But, I cannot find out when Mary Ann's + Francis McDonald's children were born. Frank, Peter (d.WW1) and Patrick, who was sent home from France, and died of his wounds. By 1915, Mary Ann was living in 2 Nimmo Rows, New Stevenston, Motherwell. Patrick's First Communion cert. is dated June 1908, but the actual piece of parchment containing the actual date has been lost, the priests signature reads Father Hartmann. Please help me find them, or even certificates. I know next to nothing about the kids, except on the Communion Cert, Patrick (despite being born from Francis McDonald), is named as Patrick Hughes, so Mary Ann has remarried (and thus been widowed), by June 1908. Mary Ann died on 8/2/1941. Any help greatly appreciated.

Mary Ann and Francis married in 1885. Have you looked at the marriage entry on SP as this should give you his parents' names?
Kind regards,
