Any desendants of Peter Gillespie (Logie, c. 1770) ?.....

Hi,

Are there any Gillespie ancestors out there who are related to Peter Gillespie ? He married a Helen Nucol/Nicol in Logie, Perthshire 1770.
They then moved to Alloa, where he worked for a Mr Erskine. Possibly on his estate, as he may have been the 8th Earl of Mar. His son David b. 1775 is my ancestor.

Any advice on where to look for info on him ?

You've probably looked at some of these areas but...
OPRs for marriage & births of children? Kirk Session? Wills & Testaments?

The 8th Earl of Mar seems to been a Donald Mormaer, around quite sometime before your Peter Gillespie.
