I am looking for information and decendents of:
John and Roseanne Martin Diver-Donegal Ireland
Came to Scotland probably in the late 1870's or early 80's
Children: John, Charles, Rose, Elizabeth, Patrick, James, William ? and Ann
The only two children I have information on is Patrick my grandfather and Charles. Charles married Sarah McCartney in Scotland. Their children were Sarah, John, Charles and Thomas.
I believe when John and Roseanne came to Scotland they had family that came with them or who were already there. A Diver married a McGinley somewhere along the line. Also there was a Diver that bought cemetary plots in 1885.
James and Mary Turner Lynch-Dublin, Wicklow?
Came to Scotland in the early 1880's.
Their children were: Thomas Sylvester, James and Mary Bridget who went back to Ireland? and Laurence and Ann Frances 'Annie'( my grandmother) who stayed in Scotland and married.
Laurence married Mary Gallagher. Their children were Larry, Peggy, Mary, James, John and Ann. They may have moved from Clydebank to Glascow.
Annie Lynch married Patrick Divers. They lived on Elgin Street new Holy Reedemer. I know Annie and Patrick's decendents and their families-John, James, Rose, Mary, and Margaret(My mother). They also had 4 or 5 other children that died in infancy.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Dear Ellen
Welcome to TS. I'm not sure that I can be of much help to you, but you might like to try this web site for information about Donegal.
http://www.genealogylinks.net/uk/irelan ... index.html
It would also be worth your while having a read at the sources tab at the top of this page and then perhaps searching in the relevant Scottish Census records for your ancestors - 1871, 1881 and perhaps 1891. These are available on the Scotland's People web site. If you know the kind of employment they had you might be able to identify them that way.
Good luck with your search.
Liz
