Looking for the death details of Charles Allen died 1969 Dunfermline. Married to Mary Elizabeth Hunter. Both born Ireland. He was a presbyterian minister in Dunfermline. Any ideas on how to find these details

Welcome to TS - you will find everyone here very kind and helpful. In regards to your quest - you will not get this info on line - but if someone is going to NRH in Edinburgh they should easily get the death details and send you a transcription - just ask - someone will surely get this for you.

Thank you Ted. I was just in Galashiels a week ago. Visiting a brother in Borders general Hospital in Melrose. Flew in from Canada amidst the terrorist scare . What a beautiful part of Scotland, had forgotten how lovely it was.

You are right this is a braw area. Are you sure that your Charles Allen married Mary Elizabeth Hunter - there was a marriage of a Charles Earnest Allen (who was a minister) - he married Elizabeth Mary Henderson (a School-Mistress) in Shetland in 1912 . He was 32 at that time so it is possible that he lived until 1969 (no trace of a death of that name up to 1955 on SP).

Ministers did move around a lot - don't be put off by him being in Shetland decades earlier - do you want more details of the one in Shetland ?
