I need some help please.
My Gx4 Grandfather is Robert McAllister, Music Teacher, who, according to his census returns of 1851, 1861, 1881 & 1891 (don't know why I've not bought 1871 yet
In 1851 Robert is found at 9 McFarlane Street, Glasgow with his mother & head of the family, Isabella McIntosh McAllister, age 54, his sister Agnes McAllister Kerr, an Isabella McAllister, 16, who is described as grand-daughter.
(this document is awaiting posting on the deciphering board for his mother's place of birth) - Gallery URL added - AndrewP

Robert's death certificate, dated 2nd January 1896, gives his age as 76 and his parents names as William McAllister, Ropespinner and Margaret Isabella MacKintosh, both deceased but it looks like William had passed away by 1851 was wifey was a widow by then.
Robert & his wife Isabella Paterson Wilson had 11 children, Margaret Isabella, Mary Donaldson, Agnes Kerr, William, Robina, Isabella, Florence, Evelyne, Robert, Adam and Alexander.
In 1881 they had a grandson Frederick G. McK Gilmour, thrown in to boot and were living in West Nile Street where the Amalfi Pizzeria is now!
What I'd really like some help with is his parents, I've not found them on a OPR but then again goodness only knows what his mum was calling herself that day.
And I'd dearly love to know who this grand-daughter belongs to as she is using the surname McAllister.....is there another sibling....not that I've found........but the words haystack and needle spring to mind.
Any help, pointers, any of you related to them and can help
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
