Maggie Adam, Domestic Servant in Lairg, 1896.....

Post by qwerty » Wed Sep 13, 2006 5:09 pm

Maggie Adam was my fraternal grandmother. She gave birth to my father in Rowan Cottage, Lairg, Sutherland in 1896. She was not married to my grandfather and he was named as Donald Grant. Maggie was described as a Domestic Servant. Does anyone recognise her, and does she have any living relatives? Thanks. Ellen.

Hi Ellen
Have you tried looking for her in the census? If you find her in 1901 or 1891, you might manage to then trace her backwards & find out a little more about her.

I'm sorry but we can't help you find living relatives here on TalkingScot.

Best wishes
Lesley
