Found where Webster Fleming died !!.....

Post by Susie Q » Fri Oct 06, 2006 11:43 am

A while ago, I posted a plea for help. I couldn't find anything on SP regarding Webster's death. Two TS members tried to help, but like me, unable to find any mention of Webster and his wife, Bella.
Yesterday, I had a PM regarding Webster & family. It seems that he died in Saskatchewan. The PM was from his great-grandson, who has just started doing his family history and saw my post.

Now I have two other contacts to share info. with. I'm ecstatic !!!!!
Others might think I'm MAD, but I know that fellow Talking Scot members will appreciate the Buzz that comes when another brick wall tumbles down.
So, the point of this ramble is....never give up !
Thank you TS.

Wow what luck & like you I too had a Sask brick-wall which came tumbling down this year.
It is such a buzz-you can keep drugs & alcohol I don't need either.
So happy for you.

Hi, I just joined TalkingScot last evening after doing a "Google" search on Webster Fleming. Imagine my excitement to find the information on this site. He was my Grandfather. And I wonder who in Scotland are decendents/relatives. I have pictures and mementos, and know where he is burried. My Father Robert Henry Fleming (deceased) was one of 3 sons born to Webster and Mary Cockshott. Mary was Webster's second wife, as Elizabeth Gray passed away in the early 1900's. I knew all my father's 1/2 sisters and brothers.
I hope Susie Q still is active on this site. (My Dad used to call me "Susie Q" when I was little.)

Hello Brenda,
I'd love to hear more about Webster's life after he left Scotland. I've PM'd my e-mail address to you. Looking forward to swapping info.

Hi Brenda and Cath

I think that more than a few folk will be delighted that you have made contact with each other :D :D That is what TalkingScot is all about - creating opportunities for extending family and getting in touch. Google has helped that to happen to a huge extent and it makes our job/hobby/interest..........whatever it is   - satisfying and rewarding.

Hi Russell,
Since I started looking into my family history, I've had an enormous amount of help from some truly generous people. Some not so generous, have ripped me off, and claimed my research as their own. Least said, etc............ On the whole, genealogists are only too willing to help. The TS community are at the TOP of the list, as far as I'm concerned. Thank you all, especially, for enabling me and others like me, to make contact with our kin. =D> =D> =D>
