Goalen family research.....

Post by Kimberly » Fri Oct 27, 2006 3:28 am

Hi everyone.
I have recently started researching the history and ancestry of my family, surname being Goalen. I have unfortunately hit a wall on the parents of David Goalen (1708-1770) who married Isobel Preston. They resided at some time in Kettle, Fife Scotland. I have reason to believe there has been a change in the spelling of the name and think it is possible Henry Gullan may be David's father. Any information will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Hi Kimberly,
...welcome to Talking Scot :D

David Goalen b. abt 1708 is an ancestor of mine. (& he lived until after 1770... :D I'd be interested to know where that date came from? ) PM me if you would like to swap info.

If you do a search on here (search link at top) for Goalen you will find any posts of mine which mention the family.

Best wishes
Lesley
