Seeking any info re Hugh Gallacher b 12 Feb 1866 to parents Patrick and Sidney Gallacher, both b Ire. Sidney's maiden name spelt McGrace, McGreive, McGreice.
Hugh last heard of as the informant on his mothers death at Girvan, Ayr; July 1914

Hi mcgrice,

In the 1871 census, Patrick and Sydney are in Renfrew with Catherine, Margaret and Hugh (age 5). Also in the household are three lodgers, one is a William Gallacher, age 31 from Ireland (not listed as any relation of Patrick).

No obvious sign of a death registration on ScotlandsPeople for Hugh of 1860.

Hi momat,
Thank you for your reply. I have looked far and wide to find desc of Patrick and Sidney's children without success.
Am really hoping to find info re Sidney's family and as Hugh was her last child and shown to have been alive in 1914 am still hopeful of locating his desc [if he married??]

I have not been able to find a marriage or death record for Hugh.

Yes, John Brown (born Kingston, Jamaica) and David Watson (born Ireland).
