Lex McLean's hat.....

Post by Davie » Sat Dec 02, 2006 5:23 pm

At the Auction last Tuesday, two items of interest to me came up.
Lots 206 and 222
http://www.catalogue-host.co.uk/mctears ... y_2_page_1

Over £80 was bid for Lex's hat and £50 for the signatures from the disruption in 1843.
It appears that neither reached the owner's reserve price.
The Whisky sale should be of interest tae aw yoose hoardin yer Special boatles.

Don't answer that question :D

It was phrased with a view to the whisky sales coming up. You could almost see a beacon lighting up  and mutters of "Mature Malts, Rare, Mature Malts. Which Ones Have I not tried :?: "
