My cup of tea will never go cold again!

Post by emanday » Tue Dec 12, 2006 11:21 pm

Just got an early Christmas present (of sorts). My son keeps complaining that I always let my tea or coffee get cold while I am online.

Not any more I don't [woohoo]

He bought me one of those little cup warmers. It's brill! My drink stays hot right down to the last drop! This one plugs into the mains, but you can get ones that work off your USB.

S'wunnerful \:D/

Sounds like a great idea Mary

Next thing is to train son to take away empty cup and replace with full one.
Cover over the key board while you eat the dinner he has prepared and load the dish washer with the used utensils.

Open to misinterpretation? You do mean to let son load dishwasher?

My physiotherapist has insisted for years that I forgo the pleasures of dishwasher loading and emptying..............

Got the cups of tea thing cracked! If my son is having a night out with his pals/girlfriend straight from work, guess who he has to rely on to get up early and drive him to work in the morning

Got my first dishwasher 14 years ago and I'd never be without one now! I HATE putting my hands in greasy water! My late huband got lumbered with doing the washing up after I badly cut my hand. Dishwasher hints no longer required after that

Now Thrall

That was because you were not bending properly at knees and hips. [-X

Perhaps it is something to do with the encroaching years -Either that or bribing the Physio

My wife says she wouldn't be without her dishwasher - Me :!:
That was my cue to invest in the electrical variety. Now only the champagne flutes need hand washing so, as a result, we don't drink champagne. Other glasses just get sterilised by a spirit solution preferably of the malt variety. [5 cups]

Just reminded me Mary

There's a decanter with your name on it just waiting to be filled with an appropriate sterilising solution.

Russel, how right you are, but unfortunately I have misspent my many years on hills and icecaps with resulting knee wear and tear, so getting down there now is really a question of choosing a lesser evil.
I have however practised your recommended sterilising solution frequently with good results.
Anyone in this area is more than welcome to check the results.....

Now Thrall

It's not the kneeling down that's the problem. It's the getting back up again.
The solution is a good quality 'Sky Hook' Now I know a place where they sell..............

Maybe not - Icelandic Customs are too strict :D :D

Perhaps some of the 'golden nectar' before you try to bend although that might result in you not wanting to get up again anyway :!: :!:

 Next thought! re-structure kitchen so dishwasher is at worktop height :(

Forget it. Continue with son training programme then import au pair when son gets fed up and leaves home.
