Hi jroe,

Welcome to Talking Scot. I am fairly new here myself, but have already been helped by several of the lovely people I have been contacted by.

I noticed your name partiularly, as once upon a time, my family name was spelled Roe. The story goes, my Grandfather changed it. He stuck a "W" in for a reason known only to himself, so it is now spelt Rowe.

I understand that other branches of the family (originating in Co Meath, Ireland) might not have made the same change.

Might we be related
