talking scot has helped a great deal and i thank them for all they have done for me.they have put me on the right road several times...so i thought it would be a good idea to offer something back..i have done a great deal of research on the smiths ..mcdonalds mctaggarts..mcneils all of argyll mostly gigha and campbeltown anyone researching these people are more than wellcome to any info i have just get in touch with me or post your intrest on this site best wishes john smyth

Hello John,
Thank you for the post offering to share your research .I would imagine it won't be long before you have a contact as you seem to have info on some off the most popular names in Argyll.
I'm so glad you were able to get help here at Talking Scot with your tree.The members are some of the friendliest you will ever meet and always looking for a challenge.It comes with the genealogy addiction I guess. If you can't find your own dead rellies look for someone elses. :D

Looking for ...but not limited to Haldane ,Keir ,McLauchlan ,Walker ,Torrance , Reid ,Clark ,Johnstone ,Holmes ,Laurie ,Lawrie ,Strachan , McIlwee ,Welsh ,Queate ,Stewert ,McNight ,Steele ,Cockburn ,Young ....whew! That's more than enough for now.
