Opinions Please!

I am trying to find a record of a great aunts Roseanne or Annie Mitchell depature to Canada, I believe she and a cousin Mary Mitchell or possibly Feeney, ran away from Glasgow, about 1914-1916 to Canada to become dancers. I know eventually Roseanne went to NY with her husband Fred Foley, again I believe they met and married in Canada. The first record I have for Roseann in the US is the1923 Ellis Island record for my grand father Thomas McMenemy, going to stay with her in New York, she is then listed with husband and family on the 1930 census in NY.

Ive looked on the ancestry.ca records, and have come up empty, any suggestions??
Thanks
Karen

Hi Heather:

The girlies as we call them are

Roseann Mitchell, also went by Annie, and then Sylvia in later years, was the daughter of Lizzie Feeney and Mark Mitchell born in Rutherglen in 1898

Mary could be Feeny or Mitchell, we havent figured it out yet, there is a mary Mitchell on that side born @1901 or 1902, other family members thought she was a Feeney, I know she Married a John Parente in NY and appears on the 1930 census with him and sons Louis and Robert. If she was a Feeney, chances are her father was John. mother ??

your input is greatly appreciated
