Martinelli.....

Post by Cornish MO » Sun May 08, 2005 8:30 pm

Does anyone know anything about P Martinelli - barometer maker who worked from Edinburgh late 1780s - early 1800s. I have Lewis and William Martinelli, barometer makers from London and Brighton in my family tree and I was wondering if there was any connection with the Scottish one.

Hello Cornish MO,

there is a business in Leominster (pronounced Lemster - I live there) that claims to be the leading specialist in the UK for barometers. They have some beautiful (but not cheap!) examples on display. You could do worse than contact them to see if they know about the Martinellis. Contact details are at http://thebarometershop.co.uk .

John
