I am looking for any info on the above Hugh Ferguson and Sarah Hannah they were married 1887 in Irvine Scotland also need to find out who Parents where.

Hi Hugh

I only had time to trawl for Sarah's birth on SP somewhere in Ayrshire between 1860 and 1867 and came up with 4 possibles.
Dalmellington 1863
Dalry 1861
Kirkmichael 1867
Tarbolton 1863

No credits left unfortunately so I couldn't follow her up but Dalry is in North Ayrshire nearest Irvine. The other three are south of the town of Ayr and close together.
Just a pity that the marriage is too late to be covered in IGI. It shows up on SP in Irvine.

Take your pick unless you get the actual record.

Does it not tell you on Hugh and Hannah's marriage entry who their parents were?

www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk will give you the image of the marriage.

From there you'll quickly get back to one set of grandparents via the marriage of one of the parents of Hugh. Beyond that death register entries may help you, as could the IGI.

The other side isn't so easy, as it looks like they weren't regularly married. For Sarah's birth, look first at the 1891 census entry for Hugh and Sarah, and this will show you where she was born.

Yes i dont get into this end of the forum very much now and again some family tree member will pop up and any info is a great help :D glad to see you are having a good trawl around the Marine Data good :)
