A Wee Bit Humour.....

Funereal Humour

A Glasgow woman took her mother out for lunch in a new south side restaurant called The Other Side, which is very smart. Her ageing mother, in the way that some people do, had become a bit fixated about her, hopefully very much in the future, funeral plans, and suggested that it would be a nice place to take the mourners for a purvey* afterwards.

"Certainly not," said her daughter.

"Why not?," asked Mum.

Her exasperated daughter explained, "So you want a funeral notice which states 'Funeral at such and such cremmy. Then on to The Other side'. I don't think so."

*a meal provided after a funeral by the family of the deceased to the mourners.

On Your Bike

A member of the public approaches the enquiries counter at The Mitchell and asks if they have a list of Glasgow psychopaths.
The librarian, fearing that she is indeed dealing with such a person, replies "It may take some time to retrieve that information, sir, but if you leave your name and address we will forward it."

A letter was duly sent stating that the local health board may have the list he had requested.

To which the man replied "Why would the health board keep a list of cycle paths?"
