Or, there is this family in 1851:
Briggate, Bothwell, Lanarkshire
James Gilmour, 38, head, born Ireland, Labourer
Elizabeth Gilmour, 37, wife, born Ireland, Labourer's wife
Sarah Ann Gilmour, 14, Daughter, born Ireland, Tambouring
John Gilmour, 12, Son, born Ireland, Drawer in a Pit
James Gilmour, 10, Son, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Drawer in a Pit
Elizabeth Gilmour, 7, Daughter, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Scholar
Catherine Gilmour, 2, born Bothwell, Lanarkshire, Labourer's Daur
Since the older children were born in Ireland, it is likely the parents' marriage was also in Ireland.
Good luck!

What a sad tale the Census tells though a 10 & 12 year old working in the Pit.When they should have been at school, playing in the steets.
Thank God we have moved on from that.Must have been desperate times.
