need some information

hi everybody my maternal grandmother maggie helen johnston was married twice. her first marriage was in1914 to john gordon occup. holder-up inthe parish of rosskeen. her second marriage was in 1918 to william morrison mclean occupation store assistant again in the parish of rosskeen. all of them stayed in invergordon. all i have for both marriages is acertificate of proclamation of banns for both of them. both have been signed at the bottom by the minister who married them. i cannot get any of the marriages on scotlandspeople which i find strange. anybody out there with a possible explanation.

Are you being too specific in the criteria you enter for searching. There is a marriage in 1914 for John Gordon and Maggie Ellen Johnston in Rosskeen. It's often best not to enter the full name details in order to find someone. There is also an 1918 marriage in Dingwall between William Mclean & Maggie Johnston

I couldnt agree more with Tom

Often I have found less is more when searching for our lang deid yins.

A recent example was a DC that Jack kindly found for me, yet when I put in all the information Jack provided the search came up empty, but cutting back on the information came up trumps, in fact the only record that met the search criteria.
