McKenzie/McDonald

Hi
I am trying to find the date of marriage for Murdoch McKenzie and Catherine McDonald (spelling of their Christain names may vary) who were, I believe married around 1787 -1793, most liley around Gairloch/ Diabaig areas on west coast of Scotland in Ross and Cromarty. They had a daughter Isabella born 1794 but the next child I know of is Roderick in 1804. Other children followed - Norman in 1804, Janet 1805, Duncan 1807 and Mary 1808. All children were born at Diabaig or on Isle of Horisdale.

I would also like to find date of births for Murdoch and Catherine (her parents were Norman McDonald and Isabella Kennedy), expected to be circa 1770.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.

I don't know if it's any help or just repeats what you already know, but I may have some information from the death record for Catherine. It seems a good match, anyway. She's not part of my family, but the death register information is in with a bunch of other transcribed records I've collected or received from others.

Catherine McDonald, born about 1771, died 26 Sept 1858, Dibaig.
Daughter of Norman McDonald, blacksmith deceased and Isabella Kennedy deceased. Informant was her son Norman McKenzie

Thanks for your interest . I was aware of Catherine's date of death. The MacKenzies are a very difficult family/clan to track down.

I could be way off here as I am not sure about the location in relation to your search but could this be her birth ?
