Hi
In 1891 the family is at 9 King Street, Troqueer, Kirkudbrightshire. Ancestry gives Ebeneezer as Elenezer. Not sure how it would be indexed on SP.
They are as follows:
Elenezer Beattie aged 43 Male Scavenger born Kirkbean, Kirkudbright
Sarah Beattie aged 33 Wife Female Scavenger Wife born Dumfries
Janet Agnes Beattie 3 daughter born Maxwelltown
In 1901 the family is at Glasgow Street, Ebenezer is restored to being Ebenezer and the children have been joined by James Johnstone Beattie and Thomas Beattie. There are also several Montgomerys in the census but was it not established before that this was a mistake.
There are 2 possible marriages for Janet in 1913 in Troqueer, one to a George Kellock and the other to a George McDonald. In fact you may find they are the same person once you have a look. Perhaps he was known by both surnames but I'd say they were likely to be her.
What info were you looking for exactly?
Anne
PS Can't see a likely death. She could easily have survived past 1956 or do you know she emigrated?

After going through my previous "stored" research,I see that I had a Alexander Kellock as a possible person of interest.(I use the word stored as I had a hard drive failure a little while back, and had the research on 3 back up CD's)
I see above that there is a Killock mentioned, this I assume would be the same person
Thanks Ted

Hi Jack.
I have been down to the LDS library, near to us & can only find this person below
GEORGE ALEXANDER KELLOCK
25 NOV 1860 Dumfries, Dumfries, Scotland.
This would make him 27 yrs older than Janet ??
Is there any information about him on what you have found please???
Regards Ted

Hi Ted,
This George A. KELLOCK might be Janet BEATTIE's hubby as he was aged 24 on the 1913 MC.
So born abt 1889, and possibly Janet KELLOCK's son?
Sorry no more details; I'd slept in yesterday...so only had time for a hasty visit to TS.
And just took a quick note of your msg before rushing for the bus!
But only at the very end of the day did i remember the note in my top pocket...
Hence the rather short details - hurrying at the last minute before i was kicked oot.
