Hi Joette
As far as I'm aware, Tony Blair was born in Edinburgh!

Hi Patricia,

Yes he certainly is Scottish, and I just recently discovered that I can include him in my family tree. One of my Douglas's married one of his Blair relatives.

I'm heading up to Isle of Islay this Saturday and hope to discover some of the history on my Douglas side of the family.

Sorry

This is ovbiously very political and should not be aired on this forum.

I think the topic should be removed before it gets out of hand.

Best wishes

Jean

All that has been stated so far is genealogical in nature. Politics have not been mentioned and this is a Scottish site with relevance to Scots across the world.

Hi Jean,

I would have to side with Russell, but I can also understand your feelings on the topic. All the best to your son and his current set of circumstances.

Speaking of topics, allow me to take this opportunity to remind our members that TalkingScot tries to avoid two types of topics.

I agree. Better to leave such things to those forums concerned with such political comments.
