MACKIE family, Glasgow, Greenock and Renfrewshire

I am contacting this forum with regard to a link to my Mackie side of the family. I don’t know how your research has gone - but this is the limited information I currently have... does this match anything you have discovered? Can you add any further insights? I would be very grateful if you could spare the time to have a look...

I have only gone back as far as a JAMES MACKIE (born approx 1844 in Glasgow) who married a ANN JANE MARTIN (born 1844, Ireland). They married June 1864, Greenock Renfrew. I believe they had 7 children, Henry, James, Elizabeth, George, Annie, Jane and Madeline.

HENRY MACKIE (1868) then went on to marry MARGARET SCRYMGEOUR (1869) on July 1890, Greenock. They had, Martha, Henry, Mary, Annie, Margaret and James.

MARTHA MACKIE (1903) married MATTHEW NEILSON (1902) ON 1924. These are my paternal greatgrandparents. They had at least one child - MARGARET SCRYMGEOUR NEILSON, b. June 1924.

me too ive mackies in glasgow but a bit further forward!!!
