Mary Hastie and James Gilfillan

Does anyone have any info regarding a Mary Hastie and a James Gilfillan, b aprrox 1730 ish Lanarkshire I have no way of connecting these to my tree but they are the only Gilfillans that could be my G x6 grandparents in the area that my family came from, OPR's have not given any parents names on the birth records for their children and im at a loss now of what to do.

Can anyone help????

Thanks for your reply, this is the one i thought it could be, the only thing is i am looking for them to have had a son called James who married Grizel Waygateshaw............

there seems to be no record of this James which i know is a possibility as some records may not have survived or the birth may not have even been registered.

Have you searched on SP for them? I thinks you will probably have to be a bit "inventive" with wildcards, but it might be worth a try.
