looking for years for maternal grandmother margaret ash maiden name mclean gave birth to my mother also margaret in parish of cairnie aberdeenshire 1908 and last doubtful placing stirling 1913 and recorded deceased on mothers marriage lines 1936 gran was pedlar so could have gone anywhere real head banger this one brick wall has not got look in am grasping at straws have no idea of birth death or marriage date if there ever was one area or district of burial is complete blank would really like some advice on which way to go now none of living family know any more than i do and not many of us left now

You've waited a long time for a reply to your post, so hope you still take a look at TS from time to time.

Did you know that you can do a death search for a female on Scotlands People using both maiden surname and married name.
I found a possible match for your grandmother's death using

ASH* Margaret other name MA*CLE*N between 1913-1936 all counties

Didn't have any more credits so couldn't look further.

yes have waited long time and when something came up was not able to follow on but all sorted now and able to seek it out hope something comes of it really great to hear from someone who seems to be better at this than me really glad for someone to answer many many thanks will let you know if successful jim
