To see the minutes on the SP site:
Go to http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/
-->Help and other Resources
---->User Group
Go to the bottom of that page and you should see links to the minutes of the nine meetings to date.
You will need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader program installed on your computer to read these files as they are in "pdf" format.
All the best,
Andrew Paterson

Last night as i logged off i double checked the minutes and they still wernt working via the links on this forum or via SP.
Now its working i have a question.
What is meant by Modern day indexing being made available ?
As for the visually impaired it might have been and idea for SP to mention the magnifying option that comes with Windows until they make other arrangemnts, as we all forget about it. Also an instant tip for larger text - hold control key and roll the button on your mouse.

Re: User Group Minutes
Hello Tracey,
at present there are cut-off limits of 100/75/50 years for viewing indexes and images for births/marriages/deaths, although they can be viewed up to 1-2 years ago at New Register House. The proposal is that searches can be made on BMDs up to 1-2 years ago and that the results will be shown, but that the current limits on images will remain.
I raised the question on behalf of a visually-impaired user, and one of the problems that he had was with reading black text on a coloured background, as happens with the results for BMDs. I have asked him if he would like his details passed to SP, who expressed interest in getting his opinions on the site design.
Regards,
John

Lucky you! I still get the following:
The page cannot be found
The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i've been trying since yesterday using the links given on this forum and trying from Scotlandspeople itself. If it's a flaky server again why can't they get it fixed? It's causing a lot of grief.
Cheers
