Error processing payment on SP
Anyone else having problems with payment facility?
I have been trying to buy credits for 10 days with no luck. Nothing wrong with my card, cookies are enabled in firefox browser. I've filled in contact form on SP, just thought I'd ask here to see if it is unique to me or a general problem.
Regards, Vicki
PS. This is the error

Sorry, there was an error in processing this transaction:
No payment information is available. This means that one of the following has occurred:
you have completed or cancelled your payment
you have cookies disabled. To complete your payment, enable cookies by changing the privacy settings in your browser. Then return to the merchant's site and resubmit your payment
your session at WorldPay has timed out. Please return to the merchant's site and resubmit your payment

Hello Vickory,
You could try this:
In Firefox go to tools/options/privacy/show cookies and maximise the window.
Either remove all cookies or just scroll to the folders that may have some connection to what you cannot do, eg scotlandspeople, worldpay and any others and remove those folders.
Hope that helps,
Alan

Back again Vicki,
About a quarter of the way down that error appears in full under what appears to be a heading commented as “PaymentDefs - failures arising throughout the system” whatever that means.
https://select.worldpay.com/global3/pay ... properties
Someone desperate in 2005.

A more recent discussion about it in this thread.

It will be interesting to see what SP comes up with.
Good luck,
Alan

Hi Alan,
Thanks for taking the time to look for those.
I have received an email from SP... but I don't find it helpful so I'll try to contact worldpay direct... or ... quit using SP which would be a problem.
Regards, Vicki
Below is SP reply...
Good morning
I am sorry but as advised on the site if a payment is not accepted, that is
not a site issue. We do not have the authority to accept / refuse payments -
only the bank who operate the clearing gateway have that jurisdiction.
Where it reads that the server has timed out, as your messages do, then that is normally a local issue perhaps with connectivity or security.
Our gateway has been working at all times at this side and other customers are making payments successfully through this - the problem therefore may be a local one.
Regards

PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND DIRECTLY TO THIS EMAIL. AS ALL CALLS ARE LOGGED.
FURTHER / ADDITIONAL QUERIES SHOULD BE ON A SEPARATE CONTACT FORM

Hi Vicki
I am interested in your reply from "Worldpay"
I haven't been able to buy credits for the past 3 weeks, doing exactly the same as yourself, nothing worked.
Response from SP the same as yours.

Hi Trish,
I had a number of emails to & fro with Owen from worldpay customer support re the problem. He suggested that I... clear cookies, cache & temp internet files, ensure firewall, virus checker etc is not blocking them making a connection. Firefox should work but try Internet Explorer. Reboot computer, Oh...& no-one else has reported this problem that he is aware & check with my bank that payments are not being deducted but that shouldn't be the case if I have not received an email from worldpay confirming payment.
So I was NO further advanced.
Then I went to SP & tried again, same thing happened.
Then I tried again & instead of selecting Visa Debit card (which they do accept) I selected Visa, put in numbers of my Visa Debit card.... YES! it worked... wish I had done that when it first misbehaved... the exchange rate was better then.
The one thing I noticed was that at the bottom right hand corner of my screen, near the little padlock, when it didn't work it always said
select1.worldpay.com
when it did work it said select.worldpay.com
So perhaps if you are trying to use a Visa Debit card, as I was, try selecting Visa instead... they obviously have a glitch in their system.
Regards, Vicki

Re: Error processing payment on SP
I've been having problems too - the error message says that my bank has declined the payment - I phoned my bank - they have no record of the request or the fact that it was declined.
Getting so frustrated - World pay want me to phone them to sort it out. Well I don't have international dial on my home phone......so guess I'm stuck.
cheers

Sounds like a payment method problem. Have you tried using a different card? If it's Visa are you sure you've selected Visa and not Visa Electron or vice versa.dmd1164 wrote:I've been having problems too - the error message says that my bank has declined the payment - I phoned my bank - they have no record of the request or the fact that it was declined.

Re: Error processing payment on SP
Can't try a different card - I only have one card - which is the one I've used since I started searching the family tree. My bank said it's not anything they are doing. There is more than enough money in the account.....the issues seem to be with the world pay mob...
*sigh* not happy.
