Printing certs off SP

Post by AileenA » Thu Jan 08, 2009 1:38 pm

Hello
I've just tried to print some certs from my timeline in Scotlands People but I'm just getting blank pages! Can anyone help, I'm off to the Edinburgh Room in the Library tomorrow and I really need to take some with me  I've been able to print off in the past but notice that the certs now open in a different way (with java), I'm not computer minded so any help would be appreciated.

I've found it much easier to save the image to my hard disc first, then print it.

It also gives me the opportunity to crop off the extra black surround that is usually on most of these images (saving ink).

Hi Aileen
If you are usign the Java viewer, I wonder if you need to download the latest version of the java plug-in? I think someone else on SP had this issue recently....

If you unsure, I'd be tempted to change your preference (in My Details) to "Direct Download" for now, and then the images will open in the default image viewing prog and at least you will be able to print them.

Best wishes
Lesley

Thanks for your help, I did think about doing the direct download but was worried that I wouldn't be able to magnify the images on the screen.
Strange that this has happened as I used to be able to print them no problem at all.
Thanks again for getting back to me.
