Why does SP charge a credit to show you the records, and then another 5 credits to look at the actual document? I can understand the 5 credits for viewing the document, but what's with the 1 credit to view?
If there is just 1 record to view, and you are sure its the person/event you are looking for then why the 1 credit? May as well charge 6 credits and get it over with.
Sorry, just venting,

Hi Dennis,I know it may seem like a lot but not when you realise you can get 5 certs for that 6 pounds.Whereas they pay 7.50 pounds in England for one.$30 in Tas for one and $17.50 in Australia for one.I think we have a good thing going here.

When you pay one credit to view the list of entries found - even if there is only one - you can work out if it's the one you need.
I've had a few that have only turned up 1 but not the correct one so I saved 5 credits by not viewing it
Also if you are looking in the census records you can search for the same person on 2 different years but still only use one credit to get the list of possibles [ OK doen't work for the John Browns and the like
but If you happen across a Jabez button

Hello Dennis
I'm researching my Morning family from the state of Massachusetts, USA.
For copies of the records post 1910, the cost of a BMD record is $18.00, so in comparison to what SP is charging for 5 - one credit lookups and 5 copies of the documents, its a bargin as far as I'm concerned. Hope I'm not giving SP any ideas?
Regards
