SP Slow Response

Post by Muriel » Sat Mar 24, 2007 11:42 pm

Has anyone tried to contact SP lately. I put in a contact form a week ago & had the usual automated response saying it had been received. However, I've had no reply, which is most unusual but I hesitate to hassle them if they have a problem.

Hi Muriel,

It know is unusual not to get a response fairly quickly from SP, but I understand that the release of the OPR images has made them quite busy with enquiries. Might I suggest giving them a couple of more days before sending another contact form about the problem you have.

They are really probably the most concientious site I have ever dealt with, so I'm sure the delay will be shortlived.

By the way - what is the probelm you are having - we might be able to help.

Thanks Mary

The problem is a wrong linking of an OPR entry to the image. I was looking for Alexander Mann, born in Blantyre in September 1809. The page I got was for births in early 1810. Even coming back a page only took me to the end of October & by that time I didn't have enough credits to go back any further!

I'll give them a bit longer & anyway I've got an evening visit to NRH on Wednesday so I can look it up then & use the credits I'll no doubt get refunded on something else :D

Muriel

A bit long for a reply but be patient. Meanwhile, see your email for the copy that you need.

Thanks to both DavidWW & Andrew P I now have 2 copies of Alexander's birth on 3rd September! I can store up the credits for the things I forget/don't have time to do on Wednesday! [scotland-flag] Talking Scot does it again!

Thanks again both
