Problems with newly redesigned ScotlandsPeople site

Post by Linda Kemp » Wed Jun 01, 2005 9:22 pm

Does anyone know where they're hiding the magic place for resetting a password?

Has anyone else had their recent search results pages corrupted?

Hello Linda,

You can reset your password under 'my details'.

Hello Linda, My previous 1871 searches for Lanarkshire have been corrupted. The searches now appear to be under Lanark/Renfrew, with only Renfrew results appearing. A check of downloaded images shows my Lanark images to be there, but not on 'previous searches' results :?

Contact form will be sent in morning, I'm away to ma kip. (after having saved search pages etc. and checking I've got copies of images concerned to hard drive and paper, in case they disappear!!)

Hi Ian, I have the same problem, my previous searches do not match up with viewed images, Lanark/Renfrew seems to be the problem, I have sent in a contact form, one of three just today ....... yikes

Hi Linda and Nelmit

I am having password problems. In "my details" I re-entered my password and updated the details. Logged back on to the SP site but it is not remembering my password. Each time I log on I have to enter my password. Not the end of the world, but, annoying.

Some previous searches are corrupted too. I'll wait a couple of days and see it it sorts itself out. We all seem to be having similar problems.

SP Password Problems

Post by Heather Lyon » Mon Jun 06, 2005 10:56 pm

Hi everyone

I can't get SP to allow me to log on with my user name and password. I have sent a contact email to them but so far no reply. I still have credits with SP but I can't log on. Can anyone help me?

Heather,
Dare I ask? It's the kind of thing I do regularly. Did you remember to make sure the SHIFT key was in the right position: upper or lower case as required?

Hope the problem sorts itself out quickly.

Hi Heather, I agree with Catriona's suggestions, but in the meantime SP has had some numerous problems with the new site, hang in there, they have been very prompt with my contact forms ... I hope you also get a speedy reply ..... :)

Heather,

I had a similar problem for about 5 days. SP wouldn't let me log on.

Finally found out it was my firewall that was blocking it. I even had SP listed as one of my "safe" sites. Hubby finally took some of McAfee off the computer, and it's working fine now.

Hope you get your problem sorted out soon.......don't want you to get withdrawal symptoms
