Loss of points looking at previous search

Post by David Douglas » Sat Jun 11, 2005 6:21 pm

One of my previous searches (from the old site) has evidently had the specified surname deleted, since it lists 274 pages (6832 records), starting with Adam (starting alphabetically, I assume - rather than in a biblical sense!)

(Your SR Deaths Search Returns
You searched for: Surname: "THOMSON"; Use Soundex: Off; Forename: ""; Sex: "Both"; Year From: 1871; Year To: 1890; Age From: 54; )

The worst of it is however that the 9 points I had suddenly disappeared without warning as I scrolled down the page.
I'm now awaiting a response from Scotlandspeople.

Hi David,

Welcome to TalkingScot.

Have you checked back at ScotlandsPeople today. A fix for searches where some parts of the criteria had disappeared has been made. Many of my previous searches now appear as they should. I think the fix must have been applied yesterday or today.

All the best,

Andrew Paterson

Yes, I checked it a couple of hours ago, and it wasn't fixed. And even when they fix it, I want my points back!
