Thanks, Alan.
The EEN was always the poor relation of the Scotsman. There was/is even a class divide in the Death notices. Nobody who was anyone would be seen dead in the Evening News.
Cheers.

Hello Maureen, momat wrote:I'm another who would like to know about that topic ,as I was told a bomb fell outside the Nursing Home where I was born and that it landed in the SNOW and didn't explode but the Nursing Home was evacuated to safety .This was in Glasgow's Great Western Road and wonder if any reports went in the newspapers .
Is it Redlands Hospital for Women at 703 Great Western Road, Kelvinside? Did a search but didn't find any hits (excuse the awful pun) in the digitised newspapers.
Regards,
Ken

Hello Ken,
I can't validate the story that I was told as I can't find any reports for that week in April.
I was told that the snow fall was bad that year.
I wondered where they evacuated all the Mothers and Babies to for safety.
Yes it was.Is it Redlands Hospital for Women at 703 Great Western Road, Kelvinside
