Margaret Guthrie Wilsons' death notice is in the Ardrossan Herald Newspaper and can be accessed through the Ayrshire-Roots website if you register and type in the last name Wilson in the data base for the newspaper, lots of Wilsons in it.

Having re-read my input, I realise it should have been better worded.

There WAS a Death Notice for Margaret Gurthrie WILSON in the 1st December 1911 edition of the Ardrossan & Saltcoats Herald. There MAY also have been Funeral and other notices.

Suggest you request scans of same via an e-mail to:
localhistory[AT]north-ayrshire.gov.uk (replace [AT] with the usual)

Good hunting.

Hi Jim
Thanks for your comments, I have a death notice for my G/Grandmother who died on 29 Nov 1911 and a photo of the headstone in Ardrossan Cemetery.

Hi Jim,

My Grandfather was also a ship builder in Saltcoats area and his name was James Wilson, married to Margaret Wilson.

Is your fathers name Andrew?
