Yes, I found my great grandmother’s first husband in the accident section…now I know what pit he was in when he was killed.Particularly the colliery accident section, it even gives the names of many who were killed at the various times.
Ahh! Another resource for anyone unable to find mining ancestors on the 1851 census…I didn’t think of that.For instance: the Victoria Coal Pit in Nitshill accident happened in March 1851- just before the census was recorded.
