Station Hotel, Cupar
I have recently discovered that two of my ancestors, Agnes and Douglas Graham, owned the Station Hotel in Cupar sometime during the 1920's. I don't know when they came into the ownership of the hotel but I do know that they were there in 1927, the year he died. I have looked for this hotel but it does not seem to exist anymore, I would love to know if anyone has any knowledge of this hotel or Agnes and Douglas.

Hi Narelde
And welcome to Talking Scot
The Station Hotel is still there - as a building. I'm not sure that it is still called that though.... it is still a bar, but has not been a hotel for many years I think. Will need to check the name next time I'm going through Cupar; it is on the junction of South Bridge & Crossgate and is here on Google Earth:

It was still a hotel when I was young, but it was a bit seedy as I remember it in the 1970s when we occaisionally dropped in for a drink as teenagers. (the Google view shows the "public bar", the "lounge bar" was around the corner and up a few steps - as far as I remember it was the red door you can see on Google, with the steps leading up to it. There is also a close goes down the side of the building, under the steps to the lounge bar, which leads to the lane along the banks of the River Eden, Waterend Road.
Best wishes
