Lanark Heritage centre.....
This really is a good place to visit. Tells the story of Mr Owen who started the first co-op and little Annie McCleod's story told by her great grand daughter.

I visited New Lanark a couple of years ago and it is a fascinating place. They have even recreated insides of the various types dwellings.
Having also seen portrayals of the usual hovels many mill worker families had to endure, the New Lanark employees must have felt very privileged indeed. I know, to our modern eyes, even they were living in poor conditions, but they were well looked after.
Came away counting my blessings.
