Hi Lesley,

Yes, it's the age thing that throws me. Finding out that I could be a first cousin once removed from my grandmother's first cousin--at least, I think that's the way it was! :? I never have been good at picturing things in my mind--lost every game of three dimensional tic-tac-toe--so I'll print out a couple of the charts and keep them handy!

Thanks,

Carol :D

Our family is mixed up generation-wise.

I took an old lady [80's] to visit my husband's Grandmother [90's]
and they greeted each other as 'Auntie Lizzy' and 'oh wee Katie' :?:

And my mother's aunt brought up 3 boys, who were not her son's but her cousins [she married her young Aunt's widower]

Hi Carol,

I'll check is out later on. I wasn't being lazy :) just haven't felt like doing much research this past week. Lost my beloved Maxine last week, so its been a rough week here in the morning household. :(

Hello Marilyn

I am so sorry to hear about Maxine. Our thoughts are with you. She was such a charming girl, thankyou for showing us her picture. Of course
its not easy being at the computer, I'll bet she was either cuddling in your lap or at your feet when you were there. What a hole in our hearts they leave when they go.
Our sympathies,

Cathy
and my own research buddy Winslow

Wilma,

I don't think even my stack of charts would help with your family!

Marilyn,

I know how you feel. I cried for month after we had to euthanize our dog five years ago. All of my family tree papers come complete with yellow cat hair because my cat Zeke likes to lay on his back in my lap when I'm sitting at the computer!

My little Tosh may be gone now, but the cushion on my computer chair (disgustingly enough I suppose) still has her hairs embedded in it.

I just cannot bring myself to do anything about removing them. (I give it a wee stroke before I sit down  )

Yup she was always at my feet at home and would trip me more times than I can count, but I didn't care. :) at work she wanted to lay on my desk. We had more laughs when a customer would walk in and not see her until she jumped up and started barking. :D

I couldn't get myself to vacuum off the back seat of my car the other day.
