There are a few items in the Glasgow Herald that mention a baker by the name of Mathieson.
1871 - Wanted ad for good Table Hand placed by Wm. Mathieson, baker, 179 Eglington Street.
1875 - Mention of Mr. Wm. Mathieson, baker, 179 Eglinton Street, late Treasurer of Master Baker’s Friendly Society of Glasgow. (late as in previous)
1880 - A couple of wanted ads for servants by Mathieson (‘s), Baker, Crosshill.
1893 - Sale of a new Bakehouse at 654 Eglinton Street, lately occupied by William Mathieson, baker.
1900 - April 12th, there’s a death notice for a Wm. Mathieson, baker, of Victoria Road, Crosshill, in his 70th year.
Is that any help with anything?
