glad I could help. Now we will have to see if we have any connections with our Haldane's. My father was from Glasgow but the family came from Roxburghshire and Dumfries before that.

Hi Heather, Will check from my records I do know some of my Haldanes went to glasgow,mostly for mining work will get back to you as soon as I find them, Mine are mostly from Fife, but some did come from Inveresk,regards Fay

Th Mitchell Library in Glasgow has records for Glasgow policemen in the Archives Section, 2nd floor.

Yes & if they have his records they are full of family history gold-place of birth,when left POB where living since,parents info,next of kin & any dependants.

Hi Ryan & Joette, On my first visit to Mitchell I was lucky to get Archibald's police records, amazing stuff will be going back again everyone was so helpfull. regards Fay
