Maybe does not apply in this case after all as Carol has indicated above that a birth is in the OPR for 1846.... but it is one of the reasons folk can just seemingly "drop off the radar".Do you have the birth records for any of the other children? I see that SP has the OPR for John Jr. in 1846.
