 NIce work Gary! I know exactly what that "feeling like crying feeling" feels like!! [cheers]

So now...since you've seen the actual certificate and in your opinion it is mis-indexed as WALETER when the record is written WALTER you have one thing left to do! Make out a contact form and and complain mightily to the powers that be so that:

A. Eventually in time (and yes it takes a long time usually) a correction can be made to the index so that anyone in the future who might be searching for Walter won't have the hard time that you did.

B. And most importantly....to tell the powers that be how many credits you wasted searching in vain for your record. Sounds like the indexing error is on them and when errors like that are brought to their attention it is customary that they give your account a few credits to compensate for how many you had to spend.

Sooo...off to the contact form you go. 8) Just click here: http://ww1.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/conte ... ?r=551&460 and then click on the "Continue here to fill out the contact us form" .

Please keep the forum informed what kind of response you get. If the contact form doesn't work for you then perhaps we can find a work around for you.

Best wishes
Jean
