If so you could look at the birth on SP and find the marriage date and place to confirm.


There is also a marriage of a PETER SINCLAIR (parents Peter Sinclair Christina Donaldson) to a Helen Roy 02 JUN 1871 Strathmungo, Govan, Lanark, Scotland. A lot more research would be needed to make him yours but maybe worth making a note of. He was 21 at time of marriage and its a user submitted entry.

Christian age 22 is a grand daughter. If this is the correct family, then both Peter and Christian, his wife, died after 1901. That should help narrow things down a bit.

Search SP Deaths: Sinclair, no forename, 1901 to 1911, birth 1832 plus or minus 10 yrs, Perthshire, Creiff. Both Christina Donaldson Sinclair 1906 and Peter Sinclair 1909 are there.

that is definatly them there was a mungo there because peter and christinas son peter whom marrie helen roy they had a son john mungo whoch adds up so it must be them and i have not heard of the twins but will look them up thanks

this has to be them again because i did try to search fro a peter and christian for glasgow 1901 and 1891 and there was none only perth so it has to be them again thanks every one. one thign is why should i look up an 1855, what if there is none born for 1855

Certificates from 1855 have much more information on them than those from any other year. You're really lucky if you have one for a family but from what Andrew has found on the IGI it looks as though your Sinclairs had children one year either side of 1855. Such is life.

awww i see i think i found a cert just like that and on mine it only said 2nd child but in others it listed all of the childrena nd there could have been up to 14 children hahaha. i have info on peter sinclair, whom married helen roy, and his birth year rounds down to 1851/50 but someone earlier said his parents were married in 1853

i got the marriage for peter and christina as Tracy said and it must be them as there only is one and i got peters death cert which ment i have now got his dads name, MUNGO, and because of this i found mungos death cert as well and his dads name is mungo too so thanks everyone .
