More interesting snippets:

A book of barred Dundee drinkers was up for auction recently:

Dundee auction firm Curr and Dewar, which is selling the book next Tuesday, said it was being put under the hammer by a former landlord who ran a pub on the site of the current Bissell’s Bar on Dundee’s Polepark Road.
another article about the same book:

This copy was given to a publican called John Kennedy of Polepark Road.

Pubs change names frequently - usually with an owner change.

This one was owned by the Bissell family since 1957:
http://www.eveningtelegraph.co.uk/2014/ ... moving-on/
A publican in Dundee has called last orders on the bar his family has owned for 57 years.

Bissell’s Bar in Polepark has been under the family’s ownership since 1957, and four Bissell brothers Alastair, Billy, Dougie and Ronnie have all served behind the bar since the 1970s.

Alastair Bissell has been the licence holder for 25 years, after his father Willie, who died two years ago aged 95, handed it over to him.
Perhaps the library in Dundee can find records of who owned it before then, and see if it was the Victoria then.
